GAIN STORIES.

OUR APPROACH

We believe adventure is about getting out of the routine, switching off the noise, and doing something that reminds you how big the world actually is. Less screen time. More fresh air, good laughs, and stories worth telling.

Our trips are built for people who want more than a standard holiday. You’ll move your body, challenge yourself and explore places that feel a long way from everyday life - without having to figure it all out yourself.

There are big days and the effort is real, but it’s usually the small moments that stick with you. Sometimes it’s camping under big skies, walking all day with a solid crew, or sharing a meal at the end of it, and realising you haven’t checked your phone in days.

That’s the balance we aim for — genuine challenge, good people, and well-run adventures in amazing places.

Jake & Emilie

Jake’s time in the Royal Australian Navy shaped his calm, steady approach to the outdoors. He started his trekking journey leading groups on the Kokoda Trail and loves taking people to remote and challenging places. For him, adventure comes down to good people, shared effort, and the simple satisfaction of pushing yourself in wild places.

Those who join his trips get someone who is calm under pressure, keeps things real, and creates an experience that feels genuine, challenging, and worth remembering.

Emilie has years of experience in office management, executive assistance and travel consulting. She works alongside Jake to manage the systems and behind the scenes tasks that keep each trip running smoothly. Emilie has visited over 40 countries and knows how amazing stepping outside your normal life and comfort zone can be.

WHY DRIVEN BY ADVENTURE?

Experience and preparation make the difference. You can expect well-planned adventures led by experienced guides who know the environments we travel through.

Each trip includes a structured pre-trip fitness program and an experienced trek leader on the ground, supported by wilderness first aid capability, so you’re prepared and well supported throughout.

From the first briefing to the final day on the track, everything is designed to help you get the most out of the adventure. So you can settle in quickly, enjoy the rhythm of the trip, and focus on what you’re there to do.

TESTIMONIALS

“I can’t speak highly enough of our Kokoda trek leader Jake. From the very first briefing, it was clear just how well-prepared and deeply knowledgeable he was not just about the track itself, but about how to create an exceptional experience for every member of our group. Jake's professionalism set the tone each day, and his calm, assured leadership gave us real confidence, especially during the more challenging sections.

What really stood out was his ability to balance the needs, expectations and viewpoints of a diverse group. Whether someone needed extra support, a different pace, or simply space to take in the history and emotion of the trail, Jake managed it with genuine care and fairness.

Thanks to Jake's  leadership, preparation and commitment to the group, my Kokoda experience was but deeply rewarding. It’s the kind of guidance that turns a tough trek into a life-long memory.” - Shane

"I would especially like to state my appreciation of the leadership qualities of our team leader Jake Leske. As an older trekker (74 years) he encouraged me through every aspect of the adventure, and was determined that l complete the trek safely and enjoyably under his guidance and assistance. I have had a hugely rewarding and satisfying experience." - Charles

"Jake was excellent as a trip organiser and communicator ... he was always patiently available for support or questions and nothing was any trouble for him." - Mitch
