We depart from the Vibe hotel in Canberra at 12pm and travel to Jindabyne before continuing on to Charlotte Pass.
After around three hours on the road, we set off on a 9km hike to Seaman’s Hut, where we establish camp for the night. This will be our base for the next three nights.
Today is a big one as we take on the first six peaks in Kosciuszko National Park. We start early and make our way over Byatts Camp, Abbott Peak, Mount Townsend and Alice Rawson, before dropping into the valley and climbing back out the other side.
From there, we continue on to Carruthers Peak and finish the day on Mount Twynam before trekking back to camp. The day typically runs between 9 and 12 hours, depending on conditions.
Back at camp, it’s time to eat, rest and reset.
Today we move across Ramshead, Ramshead North and Etheridge before finishing on the highest point in Australia at 2228m — Mount Kosciuszko.
It’s a shorter day than Day 2, but still a solid 5–6 hours on the trail.
We return to camp for our final dinner and a chance to unwind and swap stories from the last few days on the range.
We start the day by trekking back out to Charlotte Pass, then drive back to Canberra for airport drop-offs and onward travel home.
You’ll head home tired, satisfied, and glad you made the time.
